Coming Up: The ‘Febinar’ – GSC’s Emerging Scholars’ Roundtable 2024
featuring Cameroonian Scholars, Bernard Kola and Isaac Daama

Join Global Scholars Canada on Thursday, February 8 @ 7:00 pm ET for a Christian, cross-cultural academic webinar highlighting the research of two emerging scholars from Cameroon, Central Africa: Isaac Daama & Bernard Kola, who specialize in engineering research and traditional African knowledge. Daama and Kola (see his blog here) will share some of their intriguing current research as well as relate how it has provoked reflection on their faith.
We plan to stimulate intercultural faith reflections on engineering research with two Canadian Graduate Student Respondents following contributions from Key Respondent, Dr. Thomas Chacko, Professor of Earth and Atmospheric Science, University of Alberta. Introductions will be made by Global Scholar, Dr Stephen Ney while welcome and Q&A Moderation will be provided by Global Scholars Canada’s Executive Director, Dr. Peter Schuurman. Chloe Liu, PhD Candidate, McGill U, Biochemistry, will offer closing prayer.
Global Scholars were students first, and we still are. We look forward to greeting you at this year’s offering for our annual ‘FEBINAR’ – and to highlighting current research – the important work of the future – from a faithful perspective. Mark your calendars and plan to join us online (FEBINAR LINK ON ZOOM HERE) for this exciting event.
