Stephen Ney

Stephen Ney and his family lived in Sierra Leone from 2015-2024 where he developed curriculum to strengthen science-theology dialogue among Christian scholars across Africa and Latin America [https://lci.ifesworld.org/].
Nathaniel, Ezekiel, Jennifer and Stephen relocated to NE Edmonton early in 2025. The boys attend the neighbourhood primary school and apart from that excavate the “construction site” of the front flowerbed and play with all their local cousins. Jennifer continues to support the international work of Word Made Flesh among the most vulnerable of the world’s poor. Stephen continues to teach research writing to PhD students in Sierra Leone while also giving courses in two local universities’ English departments. By continuing to serve part-time under Global Scholars Canada, he is able to support the Society of Christian Scholars with their global scholars’ mentoring program and to help Inter-Varsity Canada increase the support they offer to PhD students who are on a faculty trajectory.
