Dr. Peter Schuurman Appointed as New Executive Director

The Board of Global Scholars Canada (GSC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Peter Schuurman as the next Executive Director of GSC, effective July 1, 2018. He will succeed Dr. Hubert Krygsman, who has provided leadership for GSC over the past year.

Dr. Schuurman served previously as a campus pastor at Brock University, as well as the bi-national head of campus ministry for the Christian Reformed Church in North America. He is an adjunct professor at Redeemer University College and an instructor in the D.Min. program at Tyndale Seminary.  Dr. Schuurman is also knows for speaking and writing, and is a contributing editor for Christian Courier.

He will build on the work of Dr. Krygsman, who furthered a strategic planning process to take GSC to a new level of global outreach.

“We have benefited from the skills and vision that Hubert brought to GSC,” stated board chair, Justin Cooper, “and we now look forward to working with Peter in moving GSC to new areas of service.”

Dr. Krygsman will be thanked, and Dr. Schuurman welcomed, at the Annual General Meeting in early November.
