Dr. Hubert Krygsman – Executive Director 2017 – 2018

Dr. Hubert Krygsman served as the Executive Director of Global Scholars Canada (GSC) from July 2017 to June 2018.

Previous positions included Associate Provost for Curriculum at Dordt College in Iowa and President of Redeemer University College in Ancaster, Ontario

Dr. Krygsman was serving as part-time GSC Executive Director while also serving as part-time Principal of Strathroy Community Christian School (SCCS). At the request of SCCS’s Board, Dr. Krygsman agreed to take on the Principal role at SCCS on a full-time basis.

According to Dr. Krygsman, “GSC has a vital and inspiring mission to recruit and support Christian academics to serve in universities around the world. I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this mission, but it is one that needs and deserves the undivided attention of its leadership. I trust that God will provide GSC with the leadership needed for this critical and exciting time in global Christian scholarship.”

Dr. Justin Cooper, Chair of GSC’s Board of Directors, expressed thanks to Dr. Krygsman on behalf of the Board. “We regret Dr. Krygsman’s departure,” he stated, “but we appreciate the reason for his decision. GSC remains committed to its mission and plans to initiate a search for a new Executive Director in the near future following a review of its administrative organization.”

GSC’s Board and Dr. Krygsman are committed to effecting a smooth transition in leadership, with the expectation that a new Executive Director will be appointed to succeed Dr. Krygsman by July 31, 2018.
