Global Scholars Canada (GSC) is the Canadian affiliate of Global Scholars based in Kansas City (www.global-scholars.org). GSC has worked closely with Global Scholars since 1995 to develop and maintain a community of Christian professors who serve with excellence in public universities outside of North America. The members of this community teach their disciplines in the context of a Christian worldview and values. In doing so, these professors are salt and light (Matthew 5:13-14) for future leaders in nations where there often is little if any witness to the gospel. GSC professors are God’s ambassadors “seeking the peace (shalom) of the city,” (Jeremiah 29:7) through their presence in the classrooms of these distant lands.

Over the years we have been blessed with quality faculty serving in selfless ways around the world. GSC and Global Scholars now have over 75 professors teaching in several dozen countries throughout the world. Our desire is to continue to expand our efforts globally, wherever God leads us, so that we may continue to stand at the intersection of the academy and culture.

In many nations only a small fraction of the population is able to attend university. University graduates are destined to be cultural leaders in their home countries. GSC has an opportunity to influence the next generation of leaders worldwide through Christian professors who equip students to lead well, and in the process introduce them to the grace and truth of the gospel.

Our professors have influence beyond the classroom. GSC/Global Scholars professors were invited to provide leadership training for all the university presidents, top deans and academic officers in Afghanistan. In Nigeria, the federal government asked our professors to develop a faith-based AIDS awareness program for every public elementary and secondary school in the nation, teaching biblical values to hundreds of thousands of students each year.

In the context of its partnership with Global Scholars, GSC focuses on the placement of Christian professors who are Canadian citizens or Permanent Residents of Canada.

We invite you to join us in this unique and highly strategic Mission!
